As Benjamin Moore looked forward to the new decade, they searched for a color that could capture their optimism for the next 10 years. According to Andrea Magno, Director of Color Marketing,  "When you look at a color over time, there is often a direct relationship between what shades are popular and what is happening in the world. At the brink of 2020 we just thought: Let's be upbeat, let's be happy " .

Regarding Pantone's proposals for spring 2020, they are around similar shades, but bolder tones and primary colors (blue, red and yellow) appear to star in the trends.

Protagonist of colors and color of 2020 according to Pantone 'Flame Scarlet', an intense fire red.

If the idea to paint the walls of your house a bright color looks somewhat out there, a solution would be to choose a wall and paint just it, creating the so-called accent wall. The elements that lead us in choosing the right wall is usually an architectural element such as a fireplace or walls on which we want to emphasize, as the wall behind the bed.
